Local authority and private residential care
There was a survey in UK conducted to get to know the advantages and disadvantages of local authority and private homes. The authors of the survey wanted to know whether they were thought to offer different thing, and to what extent elderly people and their carers had different images of the type of care they offered. Finally, they wanted to find out which type of home the elderly people would prefer, and whether they thought they had a choice between local authority and private homes.
